How I Think
Design is how I think, not just what I build.
I believe good design starts before the making. It begins with understanding the intent, questioning the problem, seeing the wider system and grounding decisions in evidence.
Start with the intent behind an idea before deciding what to build. Clear intent gives decisions direction and keeps activity from becoming progress.
The first version of a problem is rarely the whole problem. Step back, question assumptions and find the opportunity beneath the obvious brief.
Products don't exist in isolation. Design decisions shape behaviours, teams, organisations and the wider systems around them.
Good decisions need more than confidence or consensus. Use research, observation, data and what people actually do to replace assumptions with evidence.
